A Whisper…

The Reaper’s Child By Serena Mossgraves The world seems to be a place where myths are taken for granted. Everyone knows the Myth of the pilot of the River Styx. The Ferryman who ferries souls over to the afterlife for a cost. They all have it wrong though. The Reaper doesn’t want coin. They are […]

A couple of places
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I have a few choices. One would be Maine. Not only is it beautiful, it is also where my ancestors, on my mother’s side, come from. Second is the eastern part of Canada. Same reason as the first place. Most of my maternal ancestors are from New Brunswick and Prince Edward Isle. Living where my ancestors come from, I feel, would be amazing. Walking where they did, I think, would help me feel more connected to them.
I was taken from my mother when I was 18 months old by my father because he was pissed that she had done it first. She took me and moved in with my grandparents because he was abusive. I never saw them again. But that is another post.
So, those would be where I would love to live.
Favorite places
What is your favorite place to go in your city?
I don’t have just one. The first place is the Veteran’s Center. I go there every day except Wednesday. It is a place where I can get together with fellow vets and I had never realized how much I missed that comraderie until I started going to the groups.
My other favorite place is Northeast Creek Park. It is a huge natural area that sits on the New River and is just so beautiful it’s hard to put into words. It is peaceful and a great place to go if you want to get away from the noise of the city.

Fae 50k
Since the beginning of the month, I have been taking part of the Fae 50k, which is Fae Corps Publishing’s answer to National Novel Writing Month. I haven’t been writing much, but I got plotting and almost 3k words done.
I will be updating my word count from now until I hit 60-70k, which will more than likely go into December.
More tomorrow! Have a blessed evening.

A hallow’s Eve Treat

The Forest: A Flash Fiction By Serena Mossgraves They will tell you that you are safe in the world, and you are sometimes. The cities have only people to worry about. Though they can be frightening…it’s the least frightening thing that I know of in this world. The truth is the things that watch […]

Announced changes
I am going to be doing two separate Poem a Day challenges and I am going to be doing the Fae 50k. I am going to be going for a daily habit more than the word count. The fun thing is that you don’t have to do 50k to win the Fae 50k you merely […]
